Gandhi Tribute in Amsterdam Brings Peace Advocates Together

Representatives of civil society, human rights groups and faith communities met in Amsterdam for a ceremony honouring Mahatma Gandhi, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around peace, non-violence and human dignity.

Held at Gandhi’s statue on Churchilllaan, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. Participants also discussed future cooperation in educating young people about fundamental human rights.

The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists news euro 24 to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.
